The African Storyteller is Africa’s foremost Public Affairs Consultancy servicing blue-chip clients across key sectors of the economy. We provide media relations, government relations, and stakeholder relations services to clients in key sectors of the economy. These include blue-chip and JSE-listed companies in the financial services sector, healthcare, mining, and rail transportation across the African continent.

Founder and Managing Director

The African Storyteller is the brainchild of Public Affairs leader Thulisile Phiri APR. She has 25 years of experience in public affairs and has held senior roles in big corporations, including American conglomerate General Electric and French company TotalEnergies.

She is passionate about promoting Africa as an investment destination of choice for Africa and the world.

Ms Phiri received a Special Recognition Award in the 2021 BRICS Women Innovation Contest. This award recognised her work in shaping Africa's narrative and positioning Africa for investors through her work. She sits on several boards, including:

The French South African Chamber of Commerce Industry (FSACCI) was established in 1979 to foster effective business support for French companies in South Africa and those wishing to set up business links with France.

International Advisory Council for the Ashinaga Africa Initiative

Ashinaga provides financial support and emotional care to young people worldwide who have lost either one or both parents. With a history of more than 55 years, our support has enabled more than 110,000 orphaned students to access higher education.
